The sad news is now
official--Babouch Moroccan Restaurant, beautiful and welcoming home for
Shimmyshowcase since July 202, will be closing on August 27. Thank you Jasiree Fournier and Trina Sabrina
Mendoza for sharing your unique, amazing restaurant with the dancers,
coordinators, and friends of Shimmyshowcase this past year.

August 20--Shimmyshowcase bids farewell to Babouch with “Some
Like it Hot!” Coordinator Yasmin leads
a sizzling dancer line-up featuring the awesome dance artistry of Rania, Rhea
Raqs, Bella Noor, Sarah al Nour and Shannon, Meli Belli, Goldie Kay, Onijo Ikun,
Chani, Sephira, Bella, Adora, Vanina, and May Fearnley, plus percussionist
extraordinaire Jeff Marder. This will be
the final Shimmyshowcase at Babouch, and your last chance to see such a
dazzling array of talent at this iconic San Pedro restaurant before they close
their doors forever! We guarantee you
will not want to miss this event, so put August 20 on your calendar and plan to
join us on that evening for this last opportunity to see Shimmyshowcase at
Babouch! Reservations for an early dinner are
recommended (310-831-0246).
