SHIMMY SHOWCASE takes place at Babouch Moroccan Restaurant on the third (3rd) Sunday of most months at 6:00 p.m. Babouch is located at 810 South Gaffey Street, San Pedro, CA. (https://www.facebook.com/babouchlosangeles/) Reservations are recommended (310-831-0246).
In addition to a full bar,
Babouch’s menu includes a variety of tasty appetizers and delicious entrees for
your dining enjoyment during the program.

cover charge, we depend upon all Shimmyshowcase friends to support our
wonderful new host venue so that they will invite us back again.

April 16th -- Get ready to rock ‘n roll belly dance style when
Shimmyshowcase coordinator Ilana presents “Rock-a-Belly” with belly dance rock
stars Hala, Shalimar, Nashua, Sephira, Laura Johnson, Thea, Dejah, Anaheed, and
a very special surprise finale! We
guarantee that this will be a Shimmyshowcase night everyone will remember, so
don’t forget to add April 16th “Rock-a-Belly” to your calendar so you won’t
miss it.
May 21 – Saviya presents “Community Spirit” featuring Laura
Johnson and Tribe Roman Morga. We would
love to see a few other dance troupes join us!
June 18 – Bella presents “Summer of Love” with Sephira,
Meredith, and Jessikah
July 16 – It’s Shimmyshowcase’s first Anniversary at Babouch,
and all our lovely Shimmyshowcase coordinators (Saviya, Ilana, Bella, Yasmin,
Bella Noor) plus some of our regular Shimmyshowcase dancers will be performing!
