March 21 – Shimmyshowcase celebrates its 12th Anniversary with a
dazzling program featuring present and former coordinators Katerina, Alexiis,
Saviya, Draca, and Jannah Ilana, and Amber Ray of the Om Sisters. Joining them will be special guest dancers
Jheri St. James and Bella Noor to further entertain you with glittering
costumes and gorgeous moves. Plus, in
recognition of this anniversary milestone, Shimmyshowcase will feature live
drum accompaniment by the Tribe Roman Morga musicians for our grand
finale! Please plan now to attend this
extra special event and perhaps--if they see enough enthusiasm from the
audience--our musicians will jam a bit for some open dancing during the
break! So, mark your calendars and be
sure to arrive early to purchase a tasty beverage or light snack from our
generous host venue and find a seat before the show begins.
May 16 – Saviya/Xandra (Once Upon a Time—A Shimmyshowcase Tale)
- Dancer Sign-Ups begin on April 16—NOTE—Saviya and Xandra are trying
something new and exciting with this theme—for which we are looking for dancers
who can incorporate a fairy tale concept in their routine. Concepts may come from childhood fairy
tales, fables, mythology, or other variations of fantasy stories. Dancers desiring to be part of this new theme
will need to provide their concept before they will be confirmed as performers
for the May 16 program. These concepts will furnish the material that
Saviya and Xandra will weave into “A Shimmyshowcase Tale!”
June 20 – Draca (Goth Night) - Dancer Sign-Ups begin on
May 20
July 18 – Ilana (Movies) - Dancer Sign-Ups begin on June 18
