Now in its ninth year, Sunday Shimmyshowcase in Long Beach continues to provide a place where all dancers, regardless of proficiency, can perform in front of a warm, appreciative audience. Performers and guests alike keep returning for the temporary escape from the stress of everyday life into this relaxing and fun environment to explore and enjoy middle eastern inspired dance.

Shimmyshowcase encourages all dancers from beginners to seasoned performers to sign up and perform for us! November 13 -- Back by popular request, Amber Ray presents the second annual Shimmyshowcase Reggae Night! It’s time once again to put on your mellow and enjoy a “natural high.” Guest dancers Siraj, Tehani and Akasha Starr are guaranteed to make you feel good. Everyone else be sure you mark your calendars and head on down to Viento y Agua Coffee House on November 13 for an awesome show!

November 20 – Saviya presents Gypsy Magic with her troupe, Tribe Roman Morga and guest soloists. This Shimmyshowcase will be lively, colorful, perhaps a bit raucous and definitely a lot of fun so be sure to mark your calendars and join us at Viento y Agua as Shimmyshowcase goes to the gypsies!

November 27 – DARK – NO SHIMMYSHOWCASE-HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

December 4 – Abraiha returns to host her first Shimmyshowcase at Viento y Agua and the lovely Tahma, IrinaXara, Nadirah, and Jade will be performing!

December 18 – Saviya hosts our final Shimmyshowcase of 2011 and celebrates her birthday too! Raks Bahlam will be dancing, and we have openings for additional dancers.
