October 23 –Shimmyshowcase GRAND RE-OPENING at our new venue, Viento y Agua coffee house! Celebrate Shimmyshowcase’s debut at this great new venue with fabulous dancers Bella, Sarah al Nour, Paquita, Reina and Siraj! We hope to see everyone who has missed us these past two months. Please come at least 15 minutes before our 5:30 show time so you can purchase a delicious and nutritious light dinner and tasty gourmet coffee at the counter from our generous host business, then settle in to enjoy what promises to be a great show!
October 30 -- This is the evening Viento y Agua becomes haunted as coordinator Ilana, assisted by guest dancers Meryem Vani, Draca, Tehani , Amber, and Reina perform routines that will give you thrills and chills at the annual “Shiver Showcase.” If you would like to have a scary good time, please be sure to join us for this always popular seasonal theme. Feel free to wear a costume—the scarier the better!
November 6 -- Shimmyshowcase invites you to ”Escape to the Future” as Xandra the Cyborg and her band of other-worldly beings, aka Zahir, Eve , Meryem Vani, Bella, and Saahira take you away from the trials and tribulations of life today into a world of Science Fiction and fantasy. We invite everyone to come attired as your favorite nerd, alien, ‘droid or intergalactic superhero to help set the mood and just have some great fun! This promises to be a totally delightful event, so be sure you don’t miss it!
November 13 -- Back by popular request, Amber Ray presents the second annual Shimmyshowcase Reggae Night! It’s time once again to put on your mellow and enjoy a “natural high.” Guest dancers Siraj, and Tehani are guaranteed to make you feel good. We have one opening left, so if you would like to shimmy with these exceptionally talented dancers, please contact us at Shimmyshowcase@gmail.com. Everyone else be sure you mark your calendars and head on down to Viento y Agua Coffee House on November 13 for an awesome show!
November 20 – Saviya presents Gypsy Magic with her troupe, Tribe Roman Morga and guest soloists. This Shimmyshowcase will be lively, colorful, perhaps a bit raucous and definitely a lot of fun so be sure to mark your calendars and join us at Viento y Agua as Shimmyshowcase goes to the gypsies!
